Henrietta Smith

Mrs. Smith was born in Ashland, AL on October 4, 1952 to parents Jessie and Ammie Inez Craig Adair in Ashland, Alabama. At an early age, Mrs. Smith accepted Christ and united with Roseline Baptist Church in Millerville where she served as a Matron for many years. She received her formal education in the Clay County School System. Upon completing school, Mrs. Smith began to start her family and was blessed with eight loving children whom she loved dearly. Mrs. Smith was a very sweet, loving, kind, humble, and generous person, who was a very good cook. She loved helping and giving to her family and friends. She always had a smile that would brighten your day. Mrs. Smith enjoyed playing spades, dominos, and working puzzle and word find books. Her loving spirit will truly be missed; may she rest in peace. On Saturday morning, June 10, 2023, God beckoned for his angel, Mrs. Henrietta Adair Marbury Smith to board the train to glory for eternal rest joining her son, James Derrick Marbury, parents, Jessie and Ammie Adair, grandson, Jessie Marbury, six brothers, Linberg Adair, Bobby Adair, Nathaniel Adair, Elijah Adair, Moses Adair, and Benjamin Adair, sister, Shirley Ann Wilson, and son-in-law, Michael Bedford. Mrs. Smith leaves to cherish all her loving memories: her husband, Harold Charles Smith; three sons, Willie Charles (Devona) Adair, Thomas O'Neal (Travia Carswell) Marbury, and Anthony LaJames Marbury; four daughters, Julie Luevon Marbury, Croetta (Roman) Marbury Bedford, Benitta Massey, and Yolanda Michelle (Fredrick) Baker; two brothers, Jessie Dennis Adair and Arthur (Minnie) Adair; sister-in-law, Cora Lee Adair; brother-in-law, Bobby Joe Wilson; special cousin, Deborah Searcy; special friend, Sarah Ann Simmons; seventeen grandchildren, DaMaija Adair, Terrell Heard, Tatiyana Marbury, LaDerrick Stamps, Jecobe (Tiffany) Marbury, Decobe (Deanna) Marbury, Jessica Marbury, Michael (Shay) Bedford, Jr., La'Roddrick (Nia) Bedford, Javarious Bedford, Alexis (Dextavius Lawson) Marbury, JaDarius Marbury, Raushau Sanders, Anastazia Marbury, Totiyuna (Michael) McCain, TaMya Harris, and Jaylon Baker; in-laws, Catherine Benson, Mary Smith, Bobby Smith, Shatina Smith, and Kenneth Smith; twenty great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
