Frank Tuck

Mr. Frank James Tuck was born in Talladega, Alabama on July 21, 1954 to the union of Pauline Calhoun Tuck and James Wesley Tuck. Frank received his formal education in the Talladega County School System and was a 1972 graduate of Talladega County Training School known today as Talladega County Central High School. Upon completion of his education, Frank entered the workforce joining the N.Y.C. program in 1971 as a trainee at the Talladega Board of Education. He continued his journey to becoming a janitor waxing and buffing floors. He was later hired at Talladega Box and Lumbering Company as a laborer. Over the years, Frank was a hard worker holding many positions at various other companies including, Talladega Recycling Center, Wehadkee Yarn Mills where he spent many years as a plant supervisor until the closing of the plant. Frank worked until his health started to decline. Along Frank's 69-year earthly journey, he was united in Holy Matrimony on September 1, 1977 to the former Brenda Denise Gaston and to this union was born a baby girl given the name Shuntae. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. In his spare time, Frank loved to read mystery novels and westerns and Lord knows, you could always find him with a pepsi drink and pork skins. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. On Tuesday, August 29, 2023 while under the care of Talladega Health and Rehab and surrounded by loved ones, Frank James Tuck peacefully transitioned from labor to eternal rest reuniting with his wife, Brenda Tuck, parents, James and Pauline Tuck, granddaughter, Brenda Nicole "Nikki" Tuck, brother, Willie Edward Tuck, great-grandmother, Juliett Morris, grandmother, Betty J. Calhoun, and several uncles. Frank leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Shuntae (Dustin Reeves) Tuck and Sandra Douthitt of Talladega, AL, and Lakeshia Calhoun of Hoover, AL; two sons, Billy (Valerie) Gaston of Gadsden, AL and Jerome Douthitt of Talladega, AL; siblings, Sunny (Phyllis) Tuck of Vincent, AL, Terry (Sharon Twymon) Tuck, Larry (Pamela) Calhoun, Robert (Ida Gail) Tuck, Fannie (James) Stockdale, and Leberta Tuck all of Talladega, AL, and Verna Dean Tuck of Birmingham, AL; uncles. Parnell (Beverly) Calhoun of Vincent, AL, Robert (Frances) Calhoun of Charlotte, NC, loving and devoted grandchildren, Rodney Wilson, Derrick "Big Daddy" Tuck, and Billy Tuck; special nieces and nephews, Latonya Tuck, Tasha Cross, Tara Posey, Tavaras Posey, QuenDale, QuenDarrell, and Steven Murray; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
