Mr. Elton Robinson

Elton Robinson was born on February 6, 1955, in Talladega, Alabama to the late Mary Lee (Davis) Robinson and the late Lovell Robinson. Elton was a firm believer in the Lord and talked about his faith all the time. He was a member of Lily Hill Baptist Church and attended Shiloh Church of Deliverance. He received his formal education in the Talladega City School System where he was a 1973 graduate Talladega High School. Upon completing his education, Elton became a hard- working man, working various jobs including being a machine operator, a leader, and he trained many people while working on the safety committee. He worked for U.S. Pipes for 19 years, Talladega Insurance for 30 years, St. Peters Episcopal Church for 20 years, and BAE Systems 20 years. While in high school, Elton met the love of his life, his soulmate, Mrs. Mahala Robinson. He was later united in Holy Matrimony to his high school sweetheart and together this union was blessed with two beautiful children, Elton, Jr. and Lovie and over 50 years of a loving and happy marriage was shared. Elton loved tools, cars, fishing; but he enjoyed being outside landscaping and during football season, you could find him at watching a good football game and keeping up with the latest news on CNN. Watching TV and spending time with his family was a priority to Elton. He loved his family unconditionally. Elton was known for entertaining and making people laugh. He got a thrill out of riding his 4-wheeler. Elton went above and beyond when it came to his. He was truly family man who believed in sitting down together eating and breaking bread together. He loved his wife cooking and bragged about it all the time. No one else's food compared to his wife's meals, and you couldn't get him to eat anyone else's cooking. He always instilled in his children and grandchildren to do the right thing and over the years he continuously supported his grandsons by going to their sport events and games. Elton had a passion for singing and dancing and he would make up songs to keep the party going. On Monday, December 18, 2022, Elton Robinson's 67-year earthly journey was traded for eternal rest when he answered the call of his Master saying, 'Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant". Upon entering those pearly gates, Elton was greeted by his parents Mary and Lovell Robinson, brothers, L.C Robinson, Gaither Robinson and Tommy Robinson. Elton leaves to cherish his loving memories, a devoted wife of 50 years, Mahala Robinson; a son, Elton Robinson Jr.; daughter, Lovie Robinson; granddaughter, Aniya Robinson; grandsons, Kristian Robinson, Bobby Robinson, JaKari (Gabbie)Robinson; great-granddaughter, Rhythm Robinson; Goddaughter, Lawanda Keith; Godsons, Doug Best and Boyd McGhee; sisters, Annette Roberson and Mary Gooden; aunts, Dorothy Suttle and Ann Suttle; uncle, Rev. James Suttle (Mattie) of Tampa, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Willie Jemison and Brenda (Dee) Evans; three brothers-in-law, John Pearson, Horace Jemison, and Larry Jemison; longtime friends, Ronnie and Fay Ragland, John McKenzie (Mary), Bill McGhee (Evelyn), Harold Colley (Mary), and a host of other relatives and friends.
