Elnora Green

Born on July 18, 1929 in Talladega County, Alabama, Mrs. Elnora Fluker Green lived a remarkably 95 year life. She was the last surviving sibling of four born to the union of Solomon Fluker and Evie Abercrombie Fluker. At an early age, Mrs. Green made a profession of Christian faith and united with Church of God. She later began fellowshipping with Miracle Prayer House and at the time of her passing, she was a member of Shiloh Apostolic Church of Promise. She received her formal education in the Talladega County School System where she was a graduate of Antioch School. She became a domestic engineer and cared for her family and was well-known as a pillar in her community. Mrs. Green was a fun loving, kind-hearted, energetic person who loved flowers, planting, working in her garden, cooking and baking, and helping others. Nothing interfered with her spending time with her blessed generations of LOVE, especially when it came to going riding with her designated driver and chauffeur, Tyrone. Riding was her peace and her joy. She was affectionately known as "Mrs. Elnora" to all and as a Mother in her community. As Mrs. Green traveled this blessed 95-year journey, she became the wife of, Mr. Andrew Green and together they shared many years of a sacred marriage and to this union came the blessing of three children. Mrs. Green loved her family and was blessed to see five generations of loved ones. She was the matriarch of the family and will be remembered for being an outgoing and energetic person who always spoke what was on her mind. She loved being around people and each year she looked forward to celebrating her birthday!! She made the best of all 95 years of life God blessed her with and for that reason, we are forever grateful. On the morning of September 5, 2024, after God had graciously given this matriarch, Mrs. Elnora Fluker Green 95 plus long remarkably blessed earthly years, he saw the road was getting rough and the hills were getting harder to climb, so he said "Come on home, my child, and take your rest", for you have done the work of my plans and now I need you to rest, I know you are loved, but I love best." As she peacefully followed the Master's order, she was reunited with her husband, Andrew Green, parents, Solomon Fluker and Evie Abercromie Fluker, brothers, Willie James Fluker and Otis Fluker, daughter, Annie Woodgett, and granddaughter, Gi'Kia Green. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; one daughter, Linda Green (Benny) Murray; two sons, Richard (NeSha Watson) Green and Robert Traylor; five grandchildren, Tyrone Green, Shandreka Lee, Lenora Lawson, Lisa Jordan, and Ashley Martin; special great-granddaughter and caregiver, Mastejah Green; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dedicated friends.
