Earnestine Hall

Ms. Earnestine Hall was born in Anniston, Alabama on March 9, 1937, to the late John Cooper Hall and Rosanna Turner. Earnestine attended Salem Elementary School in Eastaboga and later graduated from Ophelia S. Hill High School in Munford, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and united with Pine Grove Worship Center in Eastaboga and later in life, she continued being a servant for the Lord and serving faithfully at Power of Praise Church in Jacksonville, Alabama, where served faithfully as Mother of the Church until her demise. Earnestine enjoyed cooking, playing cards (spades), dancing, and entertaining her family and especially her grandchildren. She found great happiness in cooking and preparing meals and it was evident that this was her passion in life when she retired after nearly 15 years as a dietitian in food services with Cheaha Regional Headstart in Anniston, Alabama. Her laughter at winning a hand of spades displayed to us all how to find happiness with the smallest things in life. Serving the Lord and joyfulness adorned her life's voyage; most radiantly seen through the care for her family and heard within the elation she had for the Lord and more importantly living every season to its greatest. On Friday evening, July 23, 2021, after God had graciously blessed and given Ms. Earnestine Hall, affectionately known as "Pug" to us for eighty-four long earthly years, he felt it was time for him to peacefully call her to her eternal resting place while under the care of Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama. Earnestine accepted her heavenly wings and entered those pearly gates of heaven joining her parents John Cooper Hall and Rosanna Turner, daughter, Rosa Kay Hall, two granddaughters, Tacarra Hall and Heaven Thornton, five sisters, Minnie Lemon, Shirley Ann Hall, Eva Dell Campbell, Norfletter McDaniel, and Janice Hall, and three brothers, Joe Bradford, Robert Bradford and John Arthur Hall. Ms. Earnestine Hall memories will forever be remembered by her three sons, Earl (Lynn) Hall, of Gainsville, FL, Steve (Trina) Hall and Terry (Emina) Hall, of Anniston, AL; two daughters, Mary Hall of Anniston, AL and Sandra Byrd of Jacksonville, AL; two brothers, Billy Joe (Ann) Brock of Birmingham, AL and Willie P. Hall of Eastaboga, AL; six sisters, Emma Jean Johnson of Anniston, AL, Eartha Dean (Eddie) Miller of Bynum, AL, Yvonne Roberts of Riverdale, GA, Charlotte (Mark) Hall of Eastaboga, AL, Sandra (Bobby) Hall of Anniston, AL, and Paula Lockhart of Lithonia, GA; three special grandchildren, Tyveisha, Tearra, and Melik; sixteen grandchildren, Shonta, Shermonta, Latosha, Jamal, Terrance Evans, Chiquita, Robert, Vantrica, Quin, Tavoris, Khalil, Deonte, Terrance Hall, Terrell, Michell, and Alexis; twenty-five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends will also treasure her lasting memories.
