Ms Devetta Chatman

On February 24, 1987, a beautiful baby girl named Devetta Chatman was born to Ms. Camelia Chatman in Talladega, Alabama. During Devetta's adolescent years, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Rushing Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of the youth choir. She received her education in the Talladega City School System and was a graduate of Talladega High School Class of 2005. Devetta worked various jobs after completing high school including Dollar General and NSE, but prior to her demise, she was a recently employed with MasterBrand Cabinets. Devetta was a very outgoing person who loved to enjoy life and have a good time. Hanging out with her friends was always what she looked forward to in her spare time and always carrying that big vibrant infectious smile. Devetta loved watching football during football season, and she was truly a dedicated Alabama Roll Tide fan. Devetta received a call from her Master on Monday, August 30, 2021, in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones while in the care of Compassus Hospice. Upon accepting her Master's call, she gained her heavenly wings and transitioned to her eternal resting place where she was welcomed home by her grandparents, Mr. Hubert and Mrs. Mary Jackson and Mr. Walter and Mrs. Emma Richardson. Leaving behind to cherish all her love and precious memories are; a loving and devoted mother, Camelia Chatman of Talladega; three sisters, Carmeshia Chatman and Jalisa Chatman of Talladega and Katrina Pruitt of Lincoln; two brothers, Carlton Chatman and Cornelius Chatman of Talladega; three nieces, Toniyah Street, Ta'Nyiah Sims and Ty'Kyra Howard; seven nephews, PFC Jamareus Chatman of Fort Hood, Texas, Jawan McGinnis, Malachi Chatman, Ja'hmere Chatman, Kruz Chatman, Kobe Chatman, and Tre'Vaijja Howard; goddaughter, Zoey Millender; eight aunts, Darlene Bradford, Wilma Jackson, Rebecca (James) Burnett, Cynthia Jackson, Valerie (David) Jones, Virginia Mitchell, JoAnn Player, and Shirley Curry; four uncles, Willie (Virginia) Jackson, Hueldon (Kathy) Jackson, Larry (Gree) Richardson, and Mike (Donna) Richardson; and a host of other relatives and friends
