Delores Ball

Mrs. Delores Ball began her 76-year life journey on May 11, 1946, in Portland, Oregon to the parentage of the late Willie C. Ollison and Myrtle Kendrix. At a young age she accepted Christ and united with Revelation Full Gospel Baptist Church in Los Angeles California. Mrs. Ball received her formal education in the Los Angeles Unified School System and was a graduate of John C. Fremont Senior High School. Delores soon met the love of her life, Clarence Ball, and were wed in holy matrimony on August 4th 1967 for over 30 years. Together, they raised 3 wonderful children. Mrs. Ball was an excellent mother and wife, supporting her children with their education and extracurricular activities, while dedicating over 30 years working at the Los Angeles County General Hospital. It was there that she met other professionals who would become life-long friends, and socialized with renowned surgeons. After retirement, Mrs. Delores moved from Los Angeles to Alpine, Alabama where she became a working member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church as a member of the Senior Choir, Sunday school superintendent, president of the usher board, in the Kitchen Ministry and on the Mission Board; just to name a few. Mrs. Ball had so much love and affection to give that she decided to become a mother to an additional son, Jai. Mrs. Ball was a kind-hearted, soft-spoken beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend with a sweet spirit who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was very passionate about her family and traveling was one of favorite methods to enjoy life with them and making everlasting memories for years to come. Mrs. Ball also had a passion for cooking, entertaining, and enjoyed card games like Spades and Bid Whist. Delores Ball will definitely be missed immensely by her family, friends and all the lives she has touched on her 76-year earthly journey. On Friday, November 11, 2022, Delores Ball, while surrounded by loved ones, answered the call of her Master saying, "Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant" and transitioned from this walk of life to her new eternal heavenly home reuniting with her parents, Willie C. Ollison and Myrtle Kendrix, husband, Clarence Ball, son, Denver Jose Ball, sister, Alice Ollison and granddaughter Jordan Grace Ball. "To God Be the Glory" "This Too Shall Pass" She leaves behind a legacy of love and fun memories to be cherished by her loving and devoted daughter, Mary Yvette Ball-Lane (Gemaine) of Los Angeles, CA; two sons, Nathaniel Anthony Robertson (Kori) of Los Angeles, CA and Jai Micah Ball of Huntsville, AL; siblings, Betty Moore, Bertha Moore, Willie Ollison, Ira Lee Moore, Joe Raymond Moore, and Jimmy Moore; nine grandchildren who affectionately know her as "Mommy Grandma", Brittany Ball, Travis Ball, Daunte' Ball, Marissa Stewart, Natasha Robertson, Nathaniel Robertson, Jr., Bailee Lane, Brooke Lane, and Ja'Iyer Ball; two great-grandchildren, Blaire Ball and Yhessi Ball; two daughters-in-law, Leslye Ball and Keisha Stewart-Robertson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and her Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Family and friends.
