Darrell Maple

Darrell T'Shun Maple was born on July 8, 2000, in Sylacauga, Alabama to parents Derrick Maple and LaToniya Maxwell. A beloved son, grandson, brother, father, uncle, and friend, Darrell's warm and vibrant presence filled every room he entered. He was a faithful member of Kingston Missionary Baptist Church in Alpine, Alabama, where he served with enthusiasm in the youth choir, on the praised dance team, and usher board. Darrell's devotion to his faith exemplified the strength of his character. Attending Talladega County Central High School, Darrell was an exceptional athlete who excelled on both the football field and basketball court. His determination and skill inspired his teammates and brought pride to his school and community. Following his graduation in 2018, Darrell joined the workforce and at the time of his passing, he was employed as a threader at Ameribolt, LLC in Sycamore, Alabama. Raised in the loving home of his grandparents, Eddie and Geneva Maple, Darrell learned the values of compassion, kindness, and perseverance from an early age. He was a source of joy and inspiration to his family, demonstrating a remarkable strength of character throughout his life. Darrell possessed a contagious zest for life and an infectious sense of humor. He radiated love and brought happiness to every gathering. His genuine care for others created lasting connections and many cherished memories. Darrell's kind and compassionate spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Darrell's presence brought laughter and light to every gathering. His infectious smile and genuine enthusiasm for life made him an instant favorite among friends and acquaintances. He possessed a natural ability to make people feel at ease, and his kindness was felt by many. On Sunday morning, November 26, 2023, Darrell T'Shun Maple traded his earthly journey for his eternal heavenly home while in the care of Coosa Valley Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. We take solace in knowing that Darrell has been reunited with his beloved sister, Julisha LaCheal Maple, in eternal peace. Darrell T'Shun Maple has left behind fun and loving memories to forever be cherished by his devoted father, Derrick Maple and his loving mother, LaToniya Maxwell. Darrell also leaves behind his adoring sons, Denver Nysir Maple and Houston Ky'Aire Maple, who will always carry their father's spirit in their hearts. His memory will forever be cherished by his sisters, Daniya Renee Maple and Disree (Ezekiel) Worst and his brother, Malik Lee. Fondly remembering Darrell are his grandparents, Eddie and Geneva Maple of Talladega, AL and his grandmother, Lisa Gaddis of Sylacauga, AL. In addition, he is survived by his uncles, Eddie Garrett, Roy Maple, and Kevaris Maple; his aunts, Dannita Maple and Samantha Kirksey. Darrell's legacy will also be carried on by his special friend, Talah NyKirea Caldwell of Sylacauga, AL, his nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. As we strive to find solace during this difficult time, we remember the remarkable soul that Darrell Maple was. Though his time on this earth was too short, his presence will forever live on in our hearts. May his spirit find eternal peace and may we find solace in the memories we shared with him. Rest in peace, dear Darrell, knowing you are forever loved and cherished.
