Christye Monika Young

Christye Monika Jones was born on May 19, 1979 to parents Paulette Foster Jones and Lawrence Pierre Jones joining brother Desmond and sister Shakira making the family unit complete. Confessing Christ at an early age, she became a member of Greater Calvary Baptist Church and later to Rest Haven Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the youth choir. Christye was educated in the Anniston School System and was a member of the Anniston Middle School band and she participated in the R.O.T.C. at Anniston High School. She was a member of the Anniston High School Class of 1997 and later furthered her education at Gadsden State Junior College receiving a degree in computer science. As Christye started her work career, she met Timmy Young and as life would have it, they fell in love and in April of 2000 the two became one when they were wedded in Holy Matrimony and to this union came the blessing of two beautiful girls joining their older sister. As Christye and Timmy raised the children, she worked outside the home at various retail jobs and later in finance. Christye loved all things pink, Alabama Crimson Tide, and most of all, she loved her family unconditionally. Early Wednesday morning, February 21, 2024, our Father God sent his Angels for Christye to come home and be embraced in his eternal care. Christye will live on in the hearts of those who loved her most, the love of her life, for over 23 years, her husband, Timmy Young; daughters, Br'Shai Jones, Jazmin K. Young, and Timaura R. Young; her mother, Paulette Foster Jones; brother, Desmond (Natasha) Jones of Round Rock, Texas; sister, Shakira (Marvin, Jr.) Montgomery of Huntsville, Alabama; special nephew, Ulric S. Jones; special aunt, LaGreta "Baytee" McMath; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly. Christye is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Pierre Jones, Grandmothers, Katherine R. Foster and Lelia A. Jones, uncles, Rowland Jones and Reginald Jones, sister, LaShandra R. Foster, son, Tyreik R. Jones, daughter, Orione Jaquevy Jones, and Big Mama, Rutha Lee Jairrels, granddaughters Ke'Loni Lewis and Ava'Lei Yow. Though Christye may no longer walk among us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her laughter continue to echo in our memories, bringing comfort and peace in the days ahead. Rest in eternal peace, dear Christye Monika Young. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
