Mr. Christopher L Curry

Christopher L. Curry's earthly journey began when he was born to the union of George E. Curry and Lorraine Elston Curry in Talladega, Alabama on May 5, 1975. Christopher accepted Christ at an early age and united with Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He also enjoyed fellowshipping with Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Christopher received his formal education in the Talladega County School System and was a graduate of Munford High School Class of 1994 where he was a member of the football team. He began his working career soon after school and worked at Masterbrand Cabinets for many years until they closed. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a Security Guard with Weiser Security. Christopher affectionately known as "Chris" loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending quality time with them. Christopher's life revolved solely around cars and listening to music. You would never see him in a car if he had not cleaned it up and detailed it inside and out. CHRIS LOVED CARS. He loved restoring cars and trucks. This was his passion, but during football season, the Auburn Tigers had his attention. Christopher had a loving and caring family who will miss him immensely. On Thursday morning, August 25, 2022, Christopher L. Curry was called to eternal rest while in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father George E. Curry, grandparents, Elbert and Mavis C. Elston, George and Annie H. Curry, great-grandparents, Will and Roseanna Elston, Julius and Lula Conley, William and Delilah Hall, Mack and Mary W. Curry, cousins, Steve Elston and Steven B. Elston, and most recently his uncle, Tracy Dawn Curry. Christopher leaves to cherish his precious memories, a loving and devoted mother, Lorraine Elston Curry; two brothers, Gabriel Rashad Curry and Travarus Dante' Curry; cousins and childhood friends that were like sisters and brothers, Jeffrey Elston, Michael Elston, Stanley Elston, Reginald Elston, Gregory Elston, Renee Elston, Buffy Elston, Cheryl Elston, Nancy Elston, Aretha Elston, Melissa Holiday, Tanya Kendrick, Yvonne Greenlee, Darrell Chatman, Rufus Barclay, Johnny Curry, Regina Jacobs, Rev. Eugene Levar Jacobs, Reginald Jacobs, Angel Jacobs Clegg, Cory White, Amber White, Nathan Curry, Andre Curry, Chearl Curry, Shree Curry, Michael Chatman, Sheldon Scott, Adolphus McGhee, Damarco Truss-Curry, Kieryn Curry, Jahkeeyah Beamer and Fredricko Gaston; six aunts, Mary (Alex) Chatman of Dayton, Ohio, Audrey (Lee) Swain of Talladega, Alabama, Renee' (Eugene) Jacobs of Talladega, Alabama, Carolyn (Wayne) Williams of Leland, NC, Glenda (Hughey) White of Decatur, Georgia, and Shrail Curry of Snellville, Georgia; one uncle, Jasper (Cynthia) Curry of Huntsville, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
