Mrs. Channey Ree Nobles

Services Remembering the Life of Mrs. Channey Ree Strown Nobles,68, of Talladega will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 3 p.m. at the Rocky Zion Baptist Church-Pell City, AL with Rev. Matthew Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Nobles will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Public viewing will be held Friday, December 25, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the S.M. Goodson Funeral Home Chapel. Professional services entrusted to S.M. Goodson Funeral Home- Talladega. Mrs. Channey Ree Strown Nobles entered this world on August 10, 1952, to the parentage of the late Claude Strown and Mary Collins Strown. At an early age, Channey confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized and faithfully attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Ushers’ Board and the Nurse’s Guild. Channey received her formal education in the Talladega County School system. She had over 40 years of dedicated service as a nursing assistant. Along Channey Ree’s life journey, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Warren Rodney Nobles, and to this union, three children were raised, cared for and loved. Her very big heart for people never allowed her to meet a stranger. She was filled with so much love, joy and laughter. Channey will deeply be missed by all the hearts she touched and joy she brought to everyone she encountered. Channey Ree Nobles, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2020. Upon entering those pearly gates, Channey was welcomed home with outstretched arms by her husband, Warren Rodney Nobles, father, Claude Strown, mother, Mary Strown, siblings, Lillian Cross, Betty Swain, Annie Nixon, Vera Alice Collins, Jessie Mable Garrett, Charles Strown, Bobby Strown, and daughter in law, Latonya Shree Nobles. Channey’s loving and fun memories will forever be cherished and remembered by her: 3 sons, Warren (Yolanda) Broderick Nobles of Talladega, Marcel (Vikki) Nobles of Talladega, and Carlos Nobles of Pell City; siblings, Claude Strown, Jr. of Lincoln, Linna Johnson of Talladega, Bro. Prezel (Sheryl) Lane of Talladega, and Dell Love of Detroit, MI; Aunt, Ethel Jones of Talladega; nine grandchildren, Alexander, Adonis, Chondria, Chasity, Mikayla, Monique, Damon, Carlos, and Mariah; nine great- grandchildren, a special friend, Robertha Gooden, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
