Apostle Brent A. Scott

Apostle Brent A. Scott was born on June 7, 1967, to the parentage of Mr. June Woods and Mrs. Lulean Townsend Scott in Hamilton, Ohio. At an early age, Apostle Scott received Christ and united with Isle of Patmos Church of God in Christ in Dayton ,Ohio. He was educated in the Montgomery County School System in Dayton and was a graduate of Dunbar High School. Once completing his education, Apostle Scott worked as a custodian in environmental services for several years and in 2019, he and his wife made Talladega, Alabama their home. Once settling in Talladega, Apostle Scott and his wife became dedicated members of Nu Nation Outreach Ministries where he continued his faith and serving God. He found immense joy in playing the drums and directing the choir, using his musical talents to spread positivity and uplift those around him. His commitment to his faith was unwavering, and his kindness and compassion touched the lives of many. Apostle Scott was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family, but his grandchildren were his top choice in life. Apostle Scott loved his family beyond measures, and he is already missed by his family, friends, and all the lives he has touched throughout his 57-year earthly journey. If you knew Apostle Scott, you know he was a God-fearing man with a heart of gold. He was a free spirit at heart, very kind, and generous man who enjoyed watching the OHIO BUCKEYES. Apostle Scott was an avid Ohio State fan and would spend countless hours playing Ohio State football on his play station. Apostle Brent A. Scott transitioned from this earthly realm to a peaceful rest on the morning of October 25, 2024 while in the care of Citizen's Baptist Medical Center in Talladega, Alabama with his loving wife at his side. Once entering the heavenly realm, he was reunited with his parents, June Woods and Lulean Scott, brother, Christopher R. Scott, and sister, Edna R. Mock. Loving memories of Apostle Brent A. Scott will be forever cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Clapsaddle Scott; daughter, Bre'Onna Scott; bonus daughters, McKenzie Clapsaddle and Donetta Mapp; Goddaughter, Zana Harvey; brothers, Howard (Patricia) Scott and Joseph Scott; sister, Susie (James) Baker; grandchildren, D'Amariya Scott, Braylin K. Scott, Deveon Scott, and Karter Harvey; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends As we bid farewell to Apostle Brent A. Scott, let us remember his warm spirit, his love for music, and the impact he had on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us all.
