Pastor Brenda Faye Wilson

On April 29, 1959, Brenda Faye Wilson was born to her loving parents David Vincent and Louneal McCoy. Unbeknownst to her parents, this beautiful baby girl was born with a calling on her life that would allow her to bless and enhance the lives of so many people. Pastor Wilson accepted Christ at a very young age. She started her spiritual journey as a member of Westview Baptist Church in Anniston where she was baptized. She later united with Zion Rising Star Church of God where she was a dedicated and faithful member of the Young People Willing Workers ministry. Through her daily interacting with God and unwavering faith, she was saved at the age of twenty-four. Allowing God to lead her, she later united with the Straight Gate Holiness Church. Her walk with God would allow her to continue serving by uniting with the New Beginning Ministry. In 2009, Pastor Brenda Wilson accepted her assignment to be a shepherd and watch over God's flock. In doing so, she founded the Wings of an Eagle Outreach Ministry in Anniston. With God's power and presence, Pastor Wilson lead her flock with patience and consistency. She often reminded them "Tho the vision tarry, wait on it." Pastor Wilson received her formal education while attending Thankful Junior High School and Cobb Avenue High School. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she did not complete her education at Cobb High School. However, she had an ambition and desire to succeed and obtained her GED. She continued her education at Gadsden Business College and earned an associate degree in business. She used this knowledge to secure gainful employment with several different companies. She worked at Protective Insurance, Pitts and Zanaty, LLC, and the Swab Company. She also modeled for Macy's and Wakefields and later became a consultant for Mary Kay. Brenda's strong will and determination was evident in everything she pursued. She had an entrepreneurial spirit that led her to open her own business, Brenda's Enterprise, LLC. Brenda, a woman with a deep connection to her spirituality, was a beacon of light in her community, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement to those in need. Inspired by the Holy Spirit to spread her encouragement, she became a published author by writing a book of inspirational poems entitled, "Organic Restoration for Malnourished Souls." She knew that God was concerned for all mankind and wanted to restore and nourish their souls. In addition to preaching the gospel and writing, she also used, her singing and motivational speaking to encourage God's people. Her genuine and caring nature, coupled with her devotion as a prayer warrior, made her a beloved figure in Anniston and abroad. Along life's journey, Brenda met and married her soulmate, Kenneth Wilson, whom she loved and cherished. This union created an abundance of love that they shared with each of their children. Kenneth stood by his wife's side through thick and thin. As a testament to their commitment to one another through sickness and in health, Kenneth was always there to make sure his wife was comfortable. Brenda was a devoted mother who cherished her children deeply, leaving a legacy of love and strength that will endure for generations to come. Her love for her family was immeasurable. Pastor Brenda Wilson, a devoted woman of God, had a leak in her old building. But on Thursday, May 16, 2024, while under the care of UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, she bid farewell to her family and friends and moved to a building not made by man's hands. When she entered her new building, she entered eternal rest and received a complete healing. She celebrated her healing in her Heavenly home with her parents, David Vincent and Louneal McCoy; stepfather, Johnson McCoy; grandchildren, Zondrick Foster and Courtney Horton; sister, Cynthia White; brothers, David Vincent, Jr., Jerome Vincent, and John McCoy; father-in-law, Bernard Wilson, Sr.; mother-in-law, Geneva Wilson; brother-in-law, Bernard Wilson, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Sherry Austin. Her memories will forever be cherished by her loving husband, Kenneth Wilson, her son, Lameric (Tommara) of Anniston; daughters, Teletha (Patrick) Keith and Marica (Christopher) Cunningham, both of Anniston; her grandchildren, Kendreka, Raven, LeQuenton, Frederick, Jalen, Kasen, and Cameron; great grandchildren, Kingsley, LaZariya, Zondrick, Korniel, Zayden, and Princeton; brothers, Daryl Miller and Byron (Tracey) Pyles, both of Anniston; sisters, Willie Mae (Ollie, II) English, Debra Ann Vincent, and Felicia Miller, all of Anniston; aunt, Dorothy Hill of Martinez, Georgia; uncles, Paul Vincent of Anniston and Jimmie Richburg of Birmingham, Alabama; aunt, Judith Gooden of Birmingham, Alabama; special friends, Mary Henderson of Douglasville, Georgia and Tonja Smith of Birmingham, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. As we gather to celebrate Brenda's life and legacy and to honor her spirit, let us find comfort in knowing that her soul has found peace in the loving embrace of our Lord and Savior.
