Betty Mallory

Mrs. Betty R. Mallory life journey, spanning 83 cherished years, was a testament to love, faith, and resilience. Born on August 2, 1942, in Alpine, Alabama, Betty was the beloved daughter of Eddie Jackson and Lillo Mae Thomas Jackson. A gentle soul and devoted Christian, Betty's spiritual life flourished at Pine Hill A.O.H. Church of God, where she served with unwavering dedication and a heart full of love. Her faith shaped her life, guiding her through joys and challenges, and she touched the lives of many within her beloved church community.Betty's educational journey brought her forth through the Talladega County School System, culminating in her graduation from Phyllis Wheatley High School in 1961. Following her studies, she entered the workforce as a textile worker, marking the beginning of decades of hard work and commitment.In June of 1970, Betty was united in Holy Matrimony with her true companion, Mr. Charles L. Mallory. Their love blossomed into the joy of parenthood with the birth of their only son, Christopher, in 1976. Betty's unwavering devotion to her family was a beacon of light, and her spirit will forever shine brightly in the memories of those who loved her dearly. As we reflect upon Betty's life, let us remember her warm smile, her love for journaling, crossword puzzles, reading, and her enduring familial bonds. On the evening of Monday, October 27, 2025, after God had graciously given Betty to us for eighty-three long earthly years She ascended to her eternal rest, where she will be reunited with those who preceded her in death, including her husband, Charles L. Mallory, her son, Christopher Mallory, parents, Eddie Jackson and Lillo Mae Jackson, sister Catherine Prinkleton, and brother, Joseph Jackson. Though we mourn the passing of a beloved sister, mother, and friend, we also rejoice in the legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind. Leaving behind to cherish the many years of Betty's loving memories are her brother, E. D. (Ora) Jackson; her sisters; Sadie E. Mahan, Willie L. Jemison, Patricia J. Mallory, Sharon (Elder Frank) Mathews and Aileen Garrett; special niece, Carolyn Denise Sawyer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will forever cherish the countless memories they shared In this time of sorrow, we draw strength from the countless moments of joy and laughter shared with Betty. Her spirit will continue to inspire us, and in our hearts, she will always remain-a guiding light, a comforting presence, and a beacon of love.
