On October 23, 1943, in Clay County, Alabama, a beautiful baby girl who was given the name Annette Pruett, was born to Dudley Pruett and Ester Mae Craig Pruett. Annette's journey through life was marked by compassion, joy, and an unwavering faith in the Lord. She was a pillar of strength and an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Annette's radiant spirit brought warmth and joy to the hearts of those around her. Her love for others knew no bounds; she touched the lives of many with her kind words, gentle demeanor, and infectious laughter. After receiving her education in the Clay County School District, Annette embarked on a rewarding career in the banking industry, where she served as a dedicated teller for over two decades. Her commitment to her work and her unwavering integrity earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and clients alike. Annette found her soulmate in Willie Kelly, and on March 22, 1984, they exchanged vows, beginning a journey of love and companionship that lasted nearly 40 remarkable years. Their bond was one built on trust, love, and mutual respect, creating a solid foundation for their happiness and shared adventures. Outside of the workplace and her loving marriage, Annette found comfort and fulfillment in her faith. As a youth, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Ashland, Alabama. Later in life, she became an active member of Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Senior Citizen Committee. Annette's commitment to her church family was unwavering, and she found great joy in lending a helping hand to those in need. Annette had a zest for life and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. She loved spending time outdoors and breathing in the fresh air. Annette also had a talent for sewing and crocheting, creating beautiful handmade pieces that were treasured by all who received them. Annette Kelly, a beloved wife, dedicated friend, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024, while in the care of Baptist Medical South in Montgomery, Alabama. As she entered those pearly gates, she was greeted by her parents, Dudley and Ester Pruett, brother, Phillip Pruett, and sister, Evalynn Pruett. The legacy of Annette Kelly will forever be etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. Her compassionate soul, radiant smile, and generous spirit will continue to inspire all who follow in her footsteps. As we honor her memory, let us find solace in the knowledge that her journey on earth has been completed, and she now rests peacefully in the arms of her Heavenly Father. Annette leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to forever be cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Willie Kelly, who shared a lifetime of memories and experiences with her; her brother, Willie Frank (Yvonne) Pruett; nieces, Charity (Demetrius) Doss and Alesia Pruett; nephew, Sammy Pruett; great-nieces and nephew, Essence Pruett, Journee Pruett, Imani Pruett, Chance Lemons, and Lana Pruett; and a host of other relatives and friends.
