Machiko Wilson

Born to the parentage of Houston Jones and Debra Wilson McGhee in Talladega, Alabama on September 27, 1979, was a beautiful baby girl who was given the name Machiko D'Vera Wilson. She brought light and laughter into the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. A vibrant member of Tabernacle of Praise, Machiko's faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's many journeys. She made sure the church technology system was always in full operation. Machilo was educated in the Talladega City School System where she attended Talladega High School. Her industrious spirit led her to a career in the security industry, where she provided firm dedication and commitment to her roles as a field supervisor with Dynamic Security and Staffing. Yet it was in the embrace of nature that Machiko truly found her comfort - particularly in her beloved horses, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Throughout her life, Machiko's joy and kindness touched the hearts of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of crossing her path. Her infectious smile and warm demeanor drew people in, forging lasting connections that she cherished deeply. An adoring mother to her daughter Varnisia and a devoted grandmother to Hezekiah, Machiko's family was the center of her universe. She was loved by everyone, and her mother instinct was treasured by all children she encountered. Machiko was a hard worker was very good at working with her hands. In her spare time, she enjoyed relaxation and reading. As a member of Incorporate Horse Riders, Inc. she traveled miles with her horse on trail and mountain rides, camping, and many other adventurous events. While nature and horseback riding may have been Machiko's passion, she was an avid fan of the Auburn War Eagles. At the time of her passing, Machiko was doing what she loved best, enjoying her best life, her horse, and the outdoors. On Friday night, May 24, 2024, as the day was coming to an end, Machiko D'Vera Wilson had made her final ride in the trails with her beloved horse as God had better plans for her in the heavenly realm. With her beloved family and friends at her side, Machiko entered the gates of heaven joining her grandparents, Charles T. and O'Vera Wilson and Janie Ruth Cox and John Henry Jones, Jr. Machiko's legacy will endure in the memories and hearts of her beautiful daughter, Varnisia Garrett; Loving parents; Debra (Jottie) McGhee and Houston (Deborah) Jones; grandson, Hezekiah Jenkins; brothers, Chakaras Dublin and Kerry Stockdale; sisters, Shonda Cornelius, Karisa Barber, Hayley Swain, Brittany Jones, Megan Garrett, and Morgan Garrett; bonus sisters, Laquita Bell and Wendy (Bobby) Maultsby; special niece, Chakaria Wilson; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. In the quiet moments of reflection, we remember Machiko D'Vera Wilson as a beacon of light, a nurturer of hearts, and a cherished presence who will be profoundly missed. Though she has taken her final ride into the heavenly realm, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
